WORLD TOUR WEBQUEST GROUP REQUIREMENTS

Your responsibility as a group is to produce a travel magazine. (50 points)


REQUIREMENT ONE: Each person in the group will produce one article for the travel magazine using the information gathered by team members per their role assignment. Role assignments are given below. (25 points)


REQUIREMENT TWO: As a group the team will design a cover for their magazine and an advertisement for one of the countries visited as a back page. The magazine must also include a table of contents showing the name of the article, and the page number the articles appears upon.(25 points)

The group will meet and determine which places visited will be the subject of each article. The selection must be made by choosing one place visited by each of the reporters during their individual travels. A reporter may not write about the place they personally visited, but they may use another reporter's Passport notes and journal to help them write their article.

Each article should be about one page long with at least two pictures. The pictures will not count towards the length requirement. The author of each article will use information and photos gathered by the people assigned to the various roles. The roles are described below.


PHOTOGRAPHER: It is the photographer's responsibility to visit the selected countries and obtain pictures to support the topic of each article. This person is responsible for getting two photographs for each article as required by the author of the article. The photos must have to do with the location of the article and include captions. Since the photographer may finish earlier than other group members she or he when finished will assist other group members as necessary.

HISTORIAN: The historian is responsible for providing a brief history of the coutry of destination, in addition to finding areas of historical interest within the desired destination.

CULTURE REPORTER: As the culture expert of the country you will be the person who is providing a summary of the country's culture. You should try and touch on at least three of the following aspects of your country's society: Art, Music, Food, Celebrations/Holidays, National Parks, and/or Tourist Attractions.

COUNTRY STATISTICIAN: As the Country statistician you need to gather information about each country for the article on it. This should include the size and population of the country, continent on which it is located, capital, largest city and population, type of money used and its value compared to the dollar, average annual income, industries, and natural resources. Feel free to add any other statistics you think might be interesting.
