From time to time Mr. Rice will have you use the Internet for various projects or assignments.  You will receive instruction when you are to use the Internet for such purposes.

RESEARCH PAPER INFORMATION
 

Research Paper Requirements

DUE DATE: May 28, 2004

 

  • You may research any school appropriate topic of your choice. 
  • Your paper must have a decorated cover. 
  • Your paper should be from 1&1/2 - 2 pages long. 
  • Your paper must use proper grammar, complete sentences, and the topic sentence of each paragraph must be underlined.
  • Your paper must be typed, double-spaced and use Arial or Times 12 font.
  • You must turn in with your paper an outline or a graphic organizer such as a web.
  • You must use at least three sources of information one of which must be a book of some type.
  • You must properly use at least one quote from each of your sources in your paper. 
  • NOTE: The quotes do not count toward the length of your paper.
  • You must provide a bibliography note card for each source and three note cards with information from each source. 
  • Your paper must include a properly written works cited page.

 

NOTE: There will be some in class time provided for research and drafting, but you will have to do much of the work on your own time.
